Summary

The company based in Barcelona, is seeking R&D, digital, construction, real estate and public-sector partners to co-develop and pilot an AI-enabled platform connecting building data across the full asset lifecycle. The platform supports early-stage simulation of cost, carbon, energy and water impacts, collaborative planning and regulatory alignment with EU sustainability frameworks. Strong fit with Horizon Europe Cluster 5 Built4People, EU Mission Cities, CCRI and New European Bauhaus 2026 calls.

Description

The company SME is developing a collaborative intelligence platform for sustainable construction and infrastructure. The company researches, designs and develops European-origin artificial intelligence systems to support better decisions across the full lifecycle of built assets, from early design and planning to construction, operation, renovation and end-of-life.

The construction sector faces a structural decision-making problem: cost, energy, carbon, water, regulatory and operational data are usually fragmented across actors, tools and project phases.

Developers, architects, contractors, engineers, industrial suppliers and facility managers often optimize their own part of the process, while no shared system optimises the full lifecycle impact of the building.

The platform addresses this challenge by connecting internal and project teams with the software ecosystems they already use, including BIM, ERP, GMAO/CMMS and PMS platforms. Instead of replacing existing tools, the platform integrates building and process data into a semantic digital twin that understands the meaning of project information and enables measurable decision-making.

Target Partners:

The company is seeking partners to co-develop, test and scale the platform in real construction and renovation contexts, especially in:

- smart and energy-efficient buildings;

- whole-life carbon and embodied carbon assessment;

- circular construction and design for deconstruction;

- deep renovation and prefabricated renovation workflows;

- public and private real estate decision-making;

- neighbourhood-scale sustainability and New European Bauhaus demonstrators;

- data integration with BIM, ERP, CMMS/GMAO, PMS and LCA databases;

- monitoring of cost, energy, comfort, carbon and environmental performance.

The company aims to validate the platform in multi-country pilots, strengthen the technical and scientific robustness of its AI models, integrate additional lifecycle and regulatory datasets, and position the platform as a European decision-support standard for sustainable construction.

Expected Role of a Partner:

The company seeks partners to support the technical development, validation, and European scaling of the platform as an AI-enabled lifecycle decision platform for sustainable construction.

(1) R&D partners, universities, and research centers: validate AI simulation models for cost, carbon, energy, and water; support research on whole-life carbon, embodied carbon, and circularity; develop methodologies for Level(s), EU Taxonomy and EPBD-aligned assessment; study behavioral, social, and economic factors influencing smart building performance; and support SSH, societal readiness and user-centered validation activities.

(2) Digital and ICT partners: develop data connectors with BIM, ERP, CMMS/GMAO, PMS and LCA tools; improve semantic digital twin architecture, knowledge graphs and data interoperability; integrate digital twins, dashboards, traceability systems and data spaces; and support cybersecurity, data governance and AI trustworthiness.

(5) Industrial and technology suppliers: connect product, material, component, or technical building system data to the platform; support environmental product data integration, LCA, EPD and circularity indicators; and validate how product choices affect cost, carbon, performance, and lifecycle outcomes.
