SUMMARY



Smartech Cluster participates in the MANUFACTergy European project, whose first OPEN CALL has just launched. The objective of the FACTORY CHECK-IN call is to support SMEs in the manufacturing sector, namely construction, furniture and industrial, through a cascade funding mechanism. Eligible organizations will access funding by forming a partnership with a solution provider of their choice.



Non-exhaustive examples of eligible activities include:



· designing a technology and innovation transition roadmap, including clearly defined solutions for the adoption of digital and energy-efficient technologies;

· assessing energy and resource consumption across SME operations and translating findings into concrete improvement measures;

· Identifying inefficiencies, losses and waste streams together with targeted technical or organisational solutions to address them;

· Defining monitoring systems and baseline indicators linked to the proposed solutions and future implementation;

· Identifying and prioritising opportunities to enhance energy efficiency and sustainable production with clearly justified intervention options;

· Developing a detailed transition and implementation plan for the adoption of advanced, energy-efficient and digital technologies.



The main result of this consultancy will be an implementation-oriented design study that describes the technologies/processes that the SME should adopt and how to implement them.

Sub-Grant Agreement signing: within 4 weeks after results announcement

Expected project start: 1 June 2026

Project duration: 4–6 months

Budget per project: Covering 90% of total costs, up to EUR 10,000€ per funded project
