Summary
The RESIST II Process Innovation Open Call provides financial support to SMEs to develop and implement innovative improvements in industrial processes within the mobility, transport and automotive ecosystem. The call focuses on enhancing sustainability, digitalisation and resilience through measurable outcomes. Projects are expected to deliver tangible industrial and environmental results within a short timeframe.
TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: Innovation projects aimed at improving manufacturing or industrial processes, including operational efficiency, resource use, sustainability, and integration of new methods or systems delivering measurable results.
SECTORS / DOMAIN: Mobility, transport and automotive ecosystem, including automotive, rail, waterborne and cycling, and their value chains.
Description
INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: Both single SME applicants and consortia of up to three SMEs are allowed; consortium partners must come from different NUTS2 regions.
SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be SMEs established in an EU Member State or a country participating in the Single Market Programme, active in the mobility, transport and automotive ecosystem, and compliant with EU SME criteria and exclusion rules.
SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: Projects should align with one or more of four pillars: Net-Zero Manufacturing and Industrial Decarbonisation; Circular Critical Raw Materials and Resource Efficiency; Digital Mobility and Smart Industrial Systems; Resilient Mobility Value Chains.
PROJECTS DURATION: Up to nine months.
BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: 90%.
Budget conditions / limitations: Up to €20,000 for individual projects and up to €30,000 per SME in collaborative projects; total call budget €800,000; minimum 10% co-financing required.
Payments: Lump sum paid in four instalments: 20% at project start, 40% after mid-term report approval, 30% after final report approval, and 10% after participation in the final showcase event.
